Completely in the dark there, left it blank and attempted it at the end with some shots in the dark but I am pretty sure nothing hit.

I agree with you. Perhaps that's the reason why they've been somewhat stricter. Perhaps we should've gone the UCT route lol

TO EVERYBODY WHO FELT THE RESULTS WERE UNFAIR:

PLEASE GO TO turnitaround.co.za/petition AND SIGN THE PETITION TO REMARK MRL3702.

AS OF 29/12 ALREADY 145 STUDENTS HAVE SIGNED THE PETITION!

While I understand the frustration of having failed an exam, I do not see how a petition will help. UNISA has remedies for students who feel aggrived by exam results. These include a remark, a recount to name a few. What will signing a petition do?

After this exam, I am doubtful whether you can pass it WITH the textbook either. With the exception of my first UNISA exam ever which completely caught me off guard, Labour is my worst examination result, I managed to pass that paper (just) but I expected significantly more. I have purchased my script to evaluate my answers and more importantly the marking, I will post here if anything interesting comes from that.

I don’t see the harm in trying to show UNISA that a huge group of students are shocked with their results and not just show 1 person that another person is unhappy with it. As in, the person who approves a remark, or the person who completes the purchase script transaction.

Out of my 40 completed modules, excluding Labour, I have only missed 7 distinctions ... I am certain I did not miss Labour ... but my results reflect otherwise...something is up.

Noted and fair. The exams department keeps stats of the failures and remarks. The course leaders are held to account for aalow low failure rate. However my fear is that if students only focus on the petition without requesting a remark or a re-check UNISA can plead ignorance of the griviences.
If say 5000 people wrote the exam for a module and only 200 fail and sign a petition instead of following the proper procedure then UNISA can decide not to entertain the compaints of the 200 as they make up only 4% of the students registered for the failed module.

True. Students who think that the marks they received were too low should certainly request a remark. The point of the petition is to make UNISA aware of the problems with the initial marking of the papers so that the same issue doesn't occur with the remarking.
