i think this has been stressed more than 20x in the thread

the 2nd opportunity is due to unavailable study material

no other reason
and no exceptions

and unisa keeps a record of who did not get material so you cant even by pass that.

Guys the announcement is clear, its not only for study material, its also for those who failed and those who did not go and write.

Additional examination opportunity for students that were registered in semester 1 during the October and November 2017 sitting for SELECTED modules ONLY

In April this year, Unisa identified 275 modules which were affected by the late delivery of study material. Students registered for these modules were informed in April that additional arrangements would be put in place to ensure that they had sufficient opportunity to study towards and pass their examinations.

One such measure is that Unisa would make available an additional examination opportunity during the normal scheduled October / November 2017 exam sitting at no cost to the student based on the following criteria:
1.You were registered in semester 1 of 2017 for one of the 275 identified modules affected by the late delivery of study material. Click here for the list of identified modules.

and

2.You were absent from the semester 1 examination or were unsuccessful during the semester 1 examination for the particular module.

This once-off free additional opportunity during the normal examination sitting in October / November 2017 is only available to those students who meet the conditions listed in points 1 and 2 above.

Even though i had not gotten the latest material though? I think Marza is right, it should apply to all who sat for may/june exams, otherwise it would be unfair!

My query is that if you had to be registerd for the module in the 1st semester to qualify?

if you are writing a supp or an aegrogat

you dont get any study material in the semester after that

how is it unfair if you were sitting for your 2nd chance? are u expecting a 2nd chance on your second chance? where is the fairness in that?

then it would mean that all the 245 modules who had supp exams in May Jun would write again in Oct Nov.. are u realising the magnitude of the admin work?

yes u needed to be registered in the 1st semester
not as an aegrogat or supp.

the registration for aegrogat or supp is considered the previous semester.

I'd agree if it were a supp, that's a second chance, but an aegrotat your first time writing the exam for the module, plus, isn't it unfair that you don't get the latest study material even though you write the same test in the semester that everyone else is registered for does?

Don't you think it's unfair if you were registered in 2016 s2 and completely failed, then registerd in 2017 for the same module, failed, but is given another chance?
